Trivium Group is growing, and we need a leader who can guide the financial systems that empower us. We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as a Chief Financial Officer who will be responsible for managing the financial actions of our company. As a CFO you will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. You will be in charge of tracking cash flow, analyzing strengths/weaknesses in the company’s finances and overseeing all aspects of its financial success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and implementing best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows
  • Complying with USA financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action
  • Preparing annual budget forecast, resource allocation, and working with CEO to budget spend for the different categories in the business
  • Monitoring and approving all expenses in the business by all employees to ensure strict finance policies
  • Studying different departments of the business and building division-based P&Ls, calculating profitability per division, understanding utilization per employee, and helping the CEO make better decisions for each of the departments
  • Calculating true marketing cost per marketing channel, to help the marketing team optimize for more efficient customer acquisition
  • Directing the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports
  • Comparing sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses and making or oversing any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets
  • Preparing detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and rest of company
  • Analyzing operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination
  • Working with the CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process
  • Studying long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share
  • Identifying opportunities for expansion into new product areas
  • Taking responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Accounting/ Business Accounting/ Finance
  • 3 or more years of experience in executive leadership roles in a USA company
  • Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
  • Very good understanding of  profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting
  • Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit
  • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems (Quickbooks is a must)
  • Excellent leadership  and supervisory skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate tasks
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust

This will be a remotely administered FULL TIME [40 hr/week] position with an immediate starting date upon hire. Working hours: 6:00-10:00 am PST are mandatory, over 4 hours are flexible. You will need a quiet workspace with fast internet, a webcam, and a microphone for video calls. This role is compensated on purely experience, and you will receive considerable levels of autonomy and ownership over your projects.
